A 2-days onsite event that challenged youngsters to meet like-minded individuals and find together solutions that could improve the health and lives of people of all ages. This competition among student teams from a range of disciplines might be the starting point of encouraging a new generation of health innovators.
The eHealth Networking Days Hackathon took place between 20th and 21st of May 2022, in Cluj-Napoca Romania, and it started by having an introductory session about the eHealth Interdisciplinary Curriculum for Undergraduate Students and the eHealth Community of Practice platform.
The event was primarily rooted in application-oriented interactive activities with eHealth innovations and collaborative constructionist practices, but it also raised discussion points about the Local Ecosystem, indicating possible future directions for networking.
The competition component involved the assessment and presentation of ideas / projects that respond to a theme of work in the field of eHealth. Mentoring sessions were scheduled for each team, and professionals from the eHealth area served as mentors for the participants, helping them outline clear ideas of needs and problems in eHealth ecosystem innovation.
The participants also benefited from training sessions on pitching, aimed to help them achieve the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver their solutions in a way that will get them the winning prize.
